November 23 – December 25, 2012 “HOT 1079 FIND FROSTY”

No pre-registration is necessary. Participants and winner must be U.S. residents at least 18 years old at time of prize verification and reside in the HOT 1079 Total Survey Area (TSA).

The contest begins on or about November 23, 2012 and will continue through December 25, 2012, or when Frosty the Snowman has been returned and verified by HOT 1079 management or a date earlier or later as determined by station management.

Starting November 23, 2012  at or around 4:00pm, listen to HOT 1079 for contest details and gather “Criminal Clues” to help find “Frosty the Snowman”. Listen for Keywords to text in for the “Criminal Clues” at 10am, 4pm, and 10pm. Additional clues may be given at any time on-air, online, through social media, or at live broadcasts. A recap of daily keywords will be included on the HOT 1079 website, www.hot1079online.com the following day.

Read and listen to daily clues to search for “Frosty the Snowman” hidden somewhere on PUBLIC land in the HOT 1079 TSA area. “Frosty the Snowman” will NOT be the following: A human being disguised as Frosty the Snowman, under any paved surface, under artificial turf, any park sites under construction, on any pre-existing advertising and marketing collateral pieces involving HOT 1079 including station website, bumper stickers, hats, tent, inflatable, other promotional items, advertiser print ads, TV commercials, banners and like station signage.

The “Frosty the Snowman” is a uniquely created physical “Frosty the Snowman” that includes specific instructions that will be authenticated by HOT 1079 management and is publically accessible.

If “Frosty the Snowman” is found promptly follow the instructions found with “Frosty the Snowman” and call HOT 1079 at 260-748-4HOT (4468), Monday-Friday 6:00am-11:00pm. The item(s) will be verified and additional instructions will be given to claim prize. Verification may only happen during this time frame. Non-compliance may result in disqualification. HOT 1079 is not responsible for line, technical problems, misdials and/or equipment malfunctions.

HOT 1079 reserves the right to discontinue the contest at any time if public property is destroyed. HOT 1079 reserves the right to discontinue the contest if we deem that at any time someone is in harm’s way.

“Frosty the Snowman” has a reward prize of $5000.

All prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable for another prize, and must be picked up in person by the winner at HOT 1079 during normal business hours.  Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.  Business address is 9604 Coldwater Road, Suite 201, Fort Wayne IN, 46825. Legal ID must be presented and a valid Social Security number must be given in order to claim prize.

Winner(s) must fill out a standard release form before receiving the prize.  Winner will be notified via given phone number once the prize is available (minimum 7 business days from date of winning).  If winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified, HOT 1079 reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion. Prize must be picked up within 10 business days of notification or prize is forfeited.

Winner is responsible for all applicable, federal, state, and or local taxes as required by law.  Any person winning over $600 in prizes from HOT 1079 will receive an IRS form 10-99 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.

Employees of Ft. Wayne Radio Corp, WJFX-FM their agents, officers, operating units, affiliates, subsidiaries and representatives, participation sponsors and their advertising agencies, clients, anyone involved with the preparation, production, execution or distribution of this contest, other radio stations and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate.  The term “immediate” family shall include spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren and cohabitating significant others.

By participating , where allowed by law, all participants and winner(s) grant HOT 1079 exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right and remuneration for such use.

By participating in the contest, each participant and winner(s) waives any and all claims liability against HOT 1079, its employees and agents, contest sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the contest, or from the use of any prize.

The General Manager or in his absence, a member of WJFX management shall be the sole arbiter in any disputes arising from the execution of this contest.  Decisions by the arbiter are final.
