Italian is the Most Romantic Way to Do Dinner on Valentine's Day, and Sushi is the Least

According to a new survey by Restaurant.com, three out of four people will go to a restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner. The most romantic type of restaurant to take a Valentine's Day date is Italian, followed by fondue, and French. Sushi is the LEAST romantic type of restaurant for a Valentine's Day dinner, followed by a Mexican place.
Couples are 73% MORE likely to order dessert when they go out for Valentine's Day, 46% more likely to order appetizers, 42% more likely to order wine, and 40% more likely to order a more expensive entrée.
Only one in three couples will have their Valentine's Day dinner on February 14th, which is a Thursday. Another one in three will wait until the weekend after. The rest will have their romantic dinner some other time during the week.
