According to a new survey by the British website Cupid.com, people prefer to text each other when they first start dating, rather than talk on the phone.   Obviously, assuming things work out, people want to talk more and text less as the relationship goes on.  

The most common texting mistake people make when they're first dating is to bombard their date with too many texts too fast.   The next biggest mistake is not replying to your date fast enough when you receive a text.

Two in five women said that it's acceptable to end a relationship by text message, although nowhere near as many men agreed.
