Oasis Radio Group stations U.S. 93.3, HOT 107.9 and 106.3 The Truth reached out to help a grieving community who lost a promising young woman, Alina Bigjohny.
Saturday, August 13th, Alina and 6 others lost their lives in the tragic stage rigging collapse at the Indiana State Fair moments before the Sugarland concert. In memory of Bigjohny, a graduate of Wayne High School and a soon-to-be teacher at Muncie Community Schools, Oasis Radio Group has setup a scholarship fund, "Lights for Alina". The scholarship will be awarded to a student from her alma mater whose career focus is education.
